How to turn Mathematics revision into marks

Maths sirf solution dekhne se strong nahi hoti. Build a repeatable cycle: recognise the structure, choose a valid method, show clean working, and test the result against the original problem.

Answer method

  1. Rewrite the given information in symbols, a diagram, a table, or a graph before calculating.
  2. Show one logical transformation per line so signs and operations can be audited.
  3. Keep exact values during the method and round only when the question or context requires it.
  4. Substitute back, estimate, or use a second method to check that the result is possible.

Common traps

  1. Copying a worked example without noticing which condition has changed.
  2. Losing a negative sign, bracket, power, inequality direction, or angle mode between steps.
  3. Rounding an intermediate value too early and carrying the error through the answer.
  4. Giving a number without the requested form, unit, accuracy, construction, or reasoning.

Practice rhythm

  1. Warm up with five short retrieval questions from earlier topics.
  2. Complete one worked example with notes, then a matched question without notes.
  3. Mix three question types so you must choose the method instead of following a heading.
  4. Keep an error ledger with the broken rule and a dated retry question.
