Exam Tips for History

1'Describe' questions: give 3–4 factual points with specific dates, names, and places.
2'Explain why': give cause + consequence — link each factor to the historical outcome.
3Paper 2 source questions: use HOCSA — How (does the source support?), Origin, Content, Source comparison, Author's purpose.
4Pakistan history is high-frequency: know 1947 partition, Liaquat Ali Khan, Ayub Khan era in detail.
5Avoid narrative — Cambridge rewards analysis ('this caused X because…') not storytelling.
